Privacy Notes – The Africa Data Protection Conclave – October 15 & 16

Do you know that the Africa Data Protection Conclave is scheduled to come up on the 15th & 16th of October 2020? The Conclave is not just limited to Nigeria but will be addressing issues affecting privacy and data protection in Africa as a whole. The theme of the Conclave is Personal Data Protection and Cybersecurity and focusing particularly on Action Points for the Rise of the Africa Knowledge Economy. The Conclave would include talks from speakers from different walks of life as well as from other countries in Africa. Personalities who will be speaking at the Conclave include Adv. Pansy Tiakula (Chairperson, Information Regulator, South Africa),  Alice Namuli Blazevic (Associate Partner, Katende, Ssempebwa & Company, Uganda), Babatunde Irekura (Chief Executive, Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, Nigeria) and a host of other prestigious persons.
